Los Angeles Lakers vs. Oklahoma City Thunder, Game 3
Lakers 99, Thunder 96
What did we see?
We saw the Black Mamba and his Lakers in a must win scenario Friday night -- and win they did (after a disappointing loss in game 2, in which the Lakers had the lead going into the final minutes of the game only to blow it). The Lakers knew they could beat the Thunder with stingy D and a cascade of free throws. The Lakers put in an unbelievable performance from the line as they went 41-42. OKC and Durant had a chance to tie the game with a last second shot, but came up short.
What did we learn?
That the Lakers could make a series out of this. Although the Thunder will eventually make the way to the conference finals the Lakers can push it to game 6 or 7.
The big questions...
How do both teams react on the second part of their back to back? Do the Lakers have enough to overpower this elite squad?
